Standards

Per OSHA and NFPA Code 30B, Aerosol Products are to be protected and contained in 9-ga 2″ woven or welded wire mesh enclosures. While this is the “suggested” specification for Aerosol storage on IFC’s website, we have experienced that inspectors will not pass the mesh type unless it features 1-1/2″ openings.  Adherence to this upgraded specification of mesh will ensure passage of inspections and OSHA and NFPA ordinances. As OSHA and NFPA Code 30B have nationwide governance, these codes for Aerosol storage apply in all states. The caging shall be installed from the floor to the underside of the deck, or include a ceiling, as well as feature a minimum 9-ga 2″ woven or welded mesh to maintain compliance with OSHA and NFPA codes.
